It is most interesting to me to read the EQP comments. Want to improve
the rules and content for next year.
Also, if you have any specific observations about the software that was
provided on the Elecraft web page, I would like to hear them. Will pass
along to the author. Send direct to me and also copy the Reflector.
I've seen some comments about separate SSB and CW weekends.
I've only seen a few comments from people who were on SSB. I managed to
moved 20 CW guys to SSB and picked up 20 extra contacts that way.
I managed to work 9 FT's. There may have been more but they seemed to be
mostly missing. Perhaps we did not do a good enough job of urging these
FT's to get on the air. Or it could just be that FT's are not operators
and just like to test the gear.
Did anyone work digital mode?
Did we get the start/stop times right? Is the 24-hour format OK, or would
you have preferred a 12-hour period?
I am interested in seeing N8VW's compilation of statistic.
I logged onto a telnet node but found very few others there. Virtually no
spots were made on the N7TR telnet node other than the few I personally
made. Was this idea a bust? Why?
Thanks to all who participated in this first-ever EQP. Its you
guys-n-gals that make it a success. I thought it was a pretty laid-back,
polite operation (I hesitate to call it a 'contest').
And of course, BIG THANKS to Co-Sponsor Pat (N8VW) for taking on this EQP
management load, and to the program author for the fine software.
Of course all this would not have happened if Eric and Wayne hadn't come
along with these MUCHO MOJO rigs.
