[Elecraft] EC2 and KPA100 question

As I wait patiently for my new K2 kit to come from Elecraft and comtemplate 
the future purchase of the KPA100 I wonder how many have chosen to install 
the 100-watt amp into the EC2 enclosure instead of the K2? It sure seems 
like the way to go since it would keep the K2 as a true QRp/portable 
battery-operated hf rig and still go QRO when needed! Also, I've read it 
solves any frequency-drift problems due to heat as well....

So, curious how many have chosen the EC2 route and was the a good choice 
after all compared to installing the KPA100 in the K2?
