[Elecraft] K1 no. 1491 is on the air

The evening of marz08-2003 K1 no. 1491 was ready to go.
My version is 4band version and after final allignment and reallignment =
the rig was ready to go.
40 meter sounded nice and my first contact was with Gerry DJ0GP/M. A =
good report 539 was recieved with the K1 set to 5watts.
Then followed up with SN75PRK and EC2AQO with 559 report from both.
The rig performed superb and nearby QRM was no trouble at all with FL3 =
set to 200Hz.

Power readings on 21/14/10/7 was 6/7,3/6,9/6,9 indicated by the rig in =
tunemode.
My exsternal meter showed 8/9/8,7/8,4 into dummy 1:1 in SWR.

The reciever is HOT.
First reciever allignment had to be done with my IC706 with 3watts into =
dummy just 20cm away from K1. Then the K1 had to be moved to another =
room and the reallignment had to be done without antenna connected to =
the K1. Just to make it possible to hear the DIP on the capacitors.
By the way .All power readings is with 13,8 Volts.
Reciever current drain was 57mA.
Nice rig and easy to use. Think I'm gonna order a K2 (without my wife =
knowing!!!!) , or????

Wonder how U have set the s-meter reading? I found that L47 and H4 was =
best. Any thoughts?
