Hi all,
Anyone have experience with a bit of material available at Wal-mart or
K-mart that is tough and can be sewn together without breaking the sewing
maching needle? Want to make a chest pack to hold my K2 while SSB'ing.
I built the PAC-12, by KA5DVS, has the same dB gain as the Super Antennas
MP-1 and cost only between 9 and 15 dollars to build. I want to have a
goal of loosing weight by walking a 1/4 of a mile to my volunteer work,
by doing Pedestrian Mobile (PM).
I might put some pix on my website, www.kg4dni.com Click on Daniel

If you don't have any ideas, I will spend ~$30 at Pet Smart. They have a
pet carrying case with several pouches and harness straps for the
person's shoulders and straps to clip around the mid-chest and waist.
Very well padded. And a big pouch for the dog or your K2 and a
drawstring to close it up. Pet Smart sells L, M, & S. I am not
affiliated with Pet Smart in any way. I was thinking of making a stand
that the K2 could sit on inside of the pack from Pet Smart, and relieve
stress on the coaxial connectors. Search for "Carrying Pack" on the Pet
Smart website.
www.njqrp.org/pac-12/ => here is KA5DVS' website for the PAC-12.
