If a ham feels that he doesn't have the time, the skills, or the
confidence to build his own Elecraft kit, there are a number of competent
builders listed in the builder's list on the web site...It should be no
problem for a potential buyer to find one he can work with...Speaking for
myself, I am retired with time on my hands...I can turn out a K-2 in a
week and a KPA100 in 2 weeks...The kit will be professionally built,
tested, and aligned and there is no charge..I am confident that all of
the builders on the builder's list are well qualified and will do an
excellent job...There are too many operational K1's, K2's, and KPA100's
on the air for it to be otherwise...There is no need for Elecraft to
involve themselves in selling pre-built radios...Let's keep Eric and
Wayne doing what they do best...We need more goodies... ;^)
