Way cool! I never know where I'll find a
kindred spirit :) The learned how to write
windowing software on the Mac and then
the Mac Plus. The last school I attended
had so few Mac programmers or Mac
repair technicians I was in constant
demand. Working on their Macs was
often more fun than the classes I was
taking :) But the
last couple of schools I've attended
required either knowledge of MS or Linux
OS architectures, or a few specialized OSs
for massively parallel machines (> 1000
processors). So my Macintosh roots are
not as exposed as I would like (sorry
about the mixed metaphor). I await the
release of Jaguar for the PC. That will
provide a
Macintosh UI with Linux/Unix
underpinnings; the best of both worlds
IMHO. So please keep us apprised of
your work on 'alternate' OS applications.
Once I get done
with this thesis I would not mind
collaborating on some K2 software
projects with one of you. Maybe this
summer ?
