[Elecraft] FD with K2 #3475

Hi guys,

This FD my original plans fell through because my elmer, N8CPA, hurt his 
knee and was unable to do field day (we were going to operate 3E at his 
house).  So I was left to do some chores and work on my telescope 
mirror.  However, I did get the K2 out and connected to my 7aH gel cell 
to do some operating on the back deck.  What fun I had!!

The amazing thing was that I was on 40 meters running stations and one 
station in particular was W3GK.  He was barely above the noise. 
However, after a second try, I was able to copy him and place him in the 
log.  I do not think I could have done that from a different radio.

For about 3 hours of casual operating, I got about 26 QSOs.  All at QRP 
into my dipole.  I did not use the beam.

I also was able to work a GA station on 40 meters which was nice in the 
middle of the afternoon.

Anyways... working on the audio filter... having a blast!
