Dave -

I looked at the filter board.  It was the very first kit I put together and
the first board.  I was surprised how stingy I had been with solder.

As they say, 90% of problems can be traced to soldering.  I remelted each
joint (small board so it was easy to do) and that fixed it.  I repeaked the
slugs and all is well.

Thanks for steering me to the filter board.
