[Elecraft] RE: K2 CW external interface

Thanks to Dan, Don, Tom, Harry, and Bob for the thoughtful replies.  My 
day-job has prevented me from doing a lot here, but I tried the 
transistor to diodes, and the two transistor method without success.  I 
did have to lookup how to turn on auto-detect ...doh !  Still could not 
get the N3FJP FD program to key correctly.  This makes me think there 
might be something wrong with the software.  (If someone wants to 
download it and see if it keys properly for them, that would be nice.)  
I'll try a different software tomorrow and may try the opto-isolator 
method next.  I do have a Rigblaster Plus that I'm direct-keying my 
FT1000MP with - just have to set the jumpers for Kenwood.  And if THAT 
doesn't work, I'll just use the message memories on the K2 itself and 
my trusty Bencher paddles.

Thanks to all - time is short for FD preparation, and I have a million 
things to do !!!
