It was a distinct pleasure to see the Elecraft folks at the booth at ARRL
National-Ham Com, Arlington TX this past weekend. There seemed to be folks
at the booth right up and after the convention officially closed!
After 3 intense days of booth duty, Eric gave a wonderful presentation to
the QRP forum Sunday Morning. It was a clear and informative description of
the advantages of single conversion receiver design, when to use DBM vs. IC
mixers, and what the current drain is on popular radios today.

The all important comparisons of dynamic performance were covered for the
cases of close in signals, where the K2 still beats all the others.

Inevitably the questions about the future were asked, and Eric says he has
not seen the K3! The recent new introductions at Dayton are keeping the
company busy along with continued K1 and K2 production. It was heartening
to hear that Elecraft is successful enough that Wayne and Eric can now pay
themselves salary. Eric says to stay tuned as there are more things coming
down the pike.
