[Elecraft] K2 Low Sensitivity on some bands

I certainly would not rely on S meter comparisons. S meters are
notorious for non-standard calibration. I have a number of radios.
None of their S meters agree on the same signal at the same time on the
same band. Assuming you have the band pass filters properly aligned, I
would really give a careful listen to weak signals and compare radios on
that basis. Does the K2 hear better, the same or worse on the same
signal on the same band with the same antenna? After making such
comparisons over a period of time you should have a much better feel for
what is really going on. Of course with sophisticated test equipment
you could get a quantitative result. But the careful observation method
is certainly adequate for survey purposes and should give you a ballpark
idea of the situation. But forget about the S meter. Rely on your
ears.

Subject: [Elecraft] K2 Low Sensitivity on some bands
I am experiencing low sensitivity on 20m and up. It seems fine in 80
and 40m, and I am not so sure about 30m. However, from bands 20m and
up, the sensitivity is very low. S5 signal on other receiver is only
s1~2 on K2, regardless of modes.
I did basic check up based on some information I found here, but I don't
have any clue why it only happens in bands 20m and up. Any help or
clue? I am making it ready for the Field Day, so I will have to stick
with 80 and 40m if I don't fix it now.
I will appreciate any input. CAL FIL doesn't seem help much.
Thanks.
