[Elecraft] K2/100 -RS232 problem

Hi Phil. Yes, the port is turned on.

Not sure what to do about a decent modem program. Don't have a modem in the
rig as I use DSL. Anything that I would have with WIN 98SE that could help
me with this for a modem program?

Well the obvious question is is the port turned on on the K2.  If so, make
SURE you are using the correct cable on the K2.  If so, disconnect the
cable from the K2, Jumper pins 2 and 3 on the cable and see if you can
talk to yourself from the computer with a deceint modem program.  With
local echo disabled, you should see everything you type.
