Since the rig was designed with the diode voltage drop in mind, why 
doesn't the firmware simply add the voltage drop to the figure for the 
displayed voltage?  This would be less confusing for folks who notice the 
disparity.  You'd expect the drop to be between 0.6 and 0.7 volts, so 
adding (say) 0.65 to the displayed voltage would be much closer to 
reality.  After all, the rig is supposed to be displaying the *supply* 
voltage, not the internal voltage after the diode drop.
