We've just completed an update to the KPA100 kit. The manual has been
extensively revised to simplify assembly. Also, a new shield and grounding
hardware has been added to improve RF shielding between the KPA100 and the K2's
RF board.

All KPA100 kits shipped after June 14, 2003 include the new manual and the
shield upgrade. If your K2 is shipped at the same time as the KPA100, note that
this corresponds to K2s with serial number 3574 and higher.

Existing KPA100 owners can order the shield upgrade as a separate kit
(#KPA100SHLDKT, $15).

The shield upgrade includes three ground clips that provide reliable contact
between the shield and the K2's rear panel and side panels. This improved
grounding helps protect the K2's RF circuitry and interface signals when the
KPA100 is operated into high-SWR loads. The upgrade is recommended for anyone
who uses end-fed antennas, has antennas with very short feed lines, or who may
have RF or grounding problems.

The instruction sheet for the shield upgrade kit can be downloaded at:

Page 2 of the instructions shows the appearance of the new shield and how the
clips are attached.
