[Elecraft] K2 and the KPA100 Power Fluxuates - Follow up

I first of all tried a 1k pot then a 2k, and finally a 5K to get enough
range.

I set the PA to OFF, Requested Power to 10 watts, and the Band to 10
Meters.

I adjusted the pot until I saw a slight decrease in output power then
backed it off just enough to restore full power output.


As per the Tech Note: "Your goal is to find the largest value of R98
(up to 1 K) that allows for the desired maximum power output on 10
meters using TUNE. Try various R98 settings until you find this value."


The tech note said to use a 1K max pot but I could not achieve enough
range, My final measurement came out to be 2.18k, I then installed a
2.15k (2.2k that measured out to be 2.15k) resistor in it's place.


Closed up the case and the Fluctuation is gone.


PS: R98 is on the bottom of the K2 close to the Pre-Wound Toroid.
