Thanks for all the suggestion.  However, I have already done the menu change
from page 52 of the construction manual. No luck, so I will start testing
the sidetone components today.  I suspect I zapped Q5 again.  Building the
K2 in GA is a lot different than dealing with the static electricity I have
here in Utah!
The good news is that everything else seems to be working FB.  Downloaded
k2remote last night and now can control the rig from the laptop.  Now to
figure out how to get WriteLog to recognize com ports higher than 4.  My
laptop has no serial ports, just USB and all of the USB port assignments
start at 5 and above.
