[Elecraft] KDSP2 problem

Installed a KDSP2 in my K2. So far the rig has the noise blanker and 160M
boards installed. I haven't installed the SSB board and 100w amp yet.
If I turn OFF the KDSP2 the audio is fine. With it ON in either SSB or CW, I
get a lot of crackling when receiving a signal. If I turn on the Noise
Reduction, the crackling goes away.
Everything else with the KDSP2 seems to be working.
Things that don't seem to make a difference with the crackling are the RF
gain, Preamp, band, mode, AGC, noise blanker.
Any ideas?
