Greetings All,
Want to improve your CW? Learn how to better copy a CW QSO?
I had two wishes when I got into Amateur Radio, have QSO's via CW and build=
radios. That said, like many I learn CW via tapes. Then I listened to Sl=
ow CW nets. WOW, copying live CW! Then I wanted to check-in these CW nets=
=2E
I am the Net Manager of GTN (Georgia Training Net). Yes, this is a traffic=
net. Most of the traffic is what I send to students who request the train=
ing. You can check in and never request the training that's fine. Just li=
sten to what the station sends before you. =20
I liked the CW nets because they are short, simple check in, simple check o=
ut procedure, safe and short. (Of course now I run fast CW and CW mobile)
Students take traffic in the form of radiograms, they may never be interest=
ed in "Traffic", but it teaches you to send and receive CW effortlessly.
If you are new to the net you will be asked your name and location (QTH).
Net in on 3.702 (80 Meters) and 9:00 PM Daily Eastern Standard Time. I run=
the net on (Mon, Wed, Thurs, Sun). Speed varies among other NCS's (5 to 1=
0 wpm)
Remember, this is a training net, mistakes are always welcome and so is QRP=
! More info about GTN can be found at it homepage...
