That's one of the things I thought about when I implemented the support in 
K2Net. I implemented the shortcuts as system hotkeys, so the tuning should 
work even if another app has the focus. The only possible problem with my 
approach is a conflict with another app that already registered the 
hotkeys.

Glad to see (from another post) that it seems to work.
