[Elecraft] KAT2 problem

Well it had to happen sometime, my luck ran out !

Having built a  K2, KSB2, KNB2, KAT100, K160RX, KDSP2 and  KPA100 all of =
which worked perfectly first time, I had a small problem with my KAT2.

The second antenna J2 did not function. I found a short between the =
inner conductor and ground. I am not sure what caused this as when  I =
tried to remove J2  the combination of solder and the socket clips thru =
the PCB made me give up and leave it clear of the board by about 0.5mm.
The short,  however had gone.

It would be nice to look at a bare board to see if any close spaced =
tracks run under J2. It maybe that there was too much solder.
I would be interested to know if anyone else has had this problem.

With my KAT2 I found that doing the CALn at 14MHz gave  much better CALS =
results, with a worst case SWR of 1.6 at 28Mhz (previously 2.0).
This is consistant with my dummy load mismatch.

The KAT2 now works FB.
