It's actually just added spring clips that ground the shield to the
surrounding cabinet. That improves the RF shielding properties to avoid
feedback issues that can occur when the KPA100 looks into a fairly high SWR
- such as may happen while the ATU is "tuning up". 

Because adding the clips involved punching holes in the shield to mount
them, you get a new shield and the clips with the "kit".

I got one just to be safe, since I use an ATU, and some day I'll have to
install it - if I haven't lost the box under the pile on my work bench <G>.
