You would REALLY HATE it if airport security confiscated your K2!

Seriously though, you shouldn't have any problems (carry on or checked)
and a sealed battery presents no problems.  Just in case, it might not
hurt to have a copy of your license available.

About 10 years ago I took a chainsaw on a flight as carry-on luggage,
but that wouldn't happen today (I also used to take my .22 rifle to
junior high school once a week for shooting practice, but that was 50
years ago).

I'm taking my K2 and MP1 to England as carry-on baggage next month.
