Chas,

OK - I now believe we are doing the semantics thing.  Yes, my use of the
term 'shape' can have any center frequency.

My references are to the SHAPE of the bandpass are indeed divorced from the
absolute center frequency on the X-axis -- (only the frequency delta from
the center of the bandpass is relevant), and I believe you are including the
X-axis absolute frequency in referring to the filter 'shape'.

I consider the filter 'shape' as a parameter separate from the absolute
center frequency (+/- Hz from the center of the filter = shape) - sorry if I
confused anyone - but that's the way I learned it way back when!!!
