[Elecraft] FW: Build sequence on K2 & Accesories

Bob;

I found that playing with the unit for quite some time between each
option gave me a chance to really understand what the option was doing
and get used to it; time to appreciate the rig thus far, to tweek and
play. For me, going back and swapping out some jumpers for a header
wasn't that big of a deal, when I was ready to install an option --
even the one where you have to re-install the PA heat sink (I think the
NB unit). It's not that big of a deal.

I took the long route: K2, (play with K2 for a couple weeks, dust off
the ol' Bencher and get it back on line), KSB2, (play with K2 for a
couple weeks, download and play with spectogram, research the list
archives looking for wisdom on the filters, interact with some of the
very wise folks on the list), KAF2, (play with K2 for a couple weeks,
tweek the filters some more, play with PSK, set up the R filters),
KNB2, (play some more), KPA100 (still playing over here :). I don't
have the 160 or the DSP option.

If you're in a hurry, by all means, get those headers installed but
make up the recommended jumpers for the headers so you can absolutely
test and exersize each option in sequence as it's built.

Just my 2 cents worth ...

I just ordered a K2 with KSB2, KNB2, KAF2, K160RX, KPA100, & KAT100. What
is your recommended build order? Also, what changes to the basic K2 boards
can be done during construction to support the add-ons so that future board
modifications & desoldering can be minimized?
