[Elecraft] Need construction hints/advice

It is definitely reccommended to get a soldering station. They can be had fairly cheap new or even less on ebay. I bought mine for 35 bucks on ebay. I have the 700 degree tip. The standard 25 watt iron from radio shack does not have any sort of temperature control. It is much to hot! Damage could occur. Buying a good soldering station is a very good investment for this hobby. 

I would look for Kester solder online somewhere. Use what they reccomend (I don't have the manuals here). Good luck and enjoy!
