Rod,

I believe you must have misunderstood - forgive my sometimes backhanded
comments.
I was trying to say that no mods are needed for any K2 as long as one is
satisfied with the performance. (The equivalent of NOT sending a rig back to
the factory for upgrades).

Personally, I feel the same way you do.  I have been quite selective about
the mods I have added to my field test K2 SN 00020.  Right now I am about to
upgrade to a new set of crystals and do the 2.5 kHz SSB bandwidth mod as
well as the BFO and PLL stability mods to top off the performance.  While I
am at it, I will likely complete the mods to bring it up to the current
level because it won't take much more effort.  I have been busy the last 2
years building our new house, so now that it is complete, it is time to get
back to antenna farming and hamming again.
