[Elecraft] Real time clock in KDSP2

Today I was out portable for the first time since installing the KDSP2.
Thinking the real time clock was intended for portable operations, I left my
clock at home... big mistake! There are two major problems with the RTC:

(1) The clock doesn't appear to keep the correct time when the KDSP2 is set
to "Bypass" (it returns to normal time keeping when the DSP is re-enabled).

(2) Playing back CW memories means the clock display disappears, so you
constantly have to keep pressing the display button.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there a design fault here?
