OK, after putting in my first mods in my K2....because I procrastinate. I
love to operate the K2 and hate to take it apart. But, I got the mod in
and it worked...but...

Some of my observations...

I am not a fan of un-soldering parts. Yuk....
Desoldering is a pain in the arse.
Opening plated through holes is a pain in the back side.
Going to the dentist seems to be a better option than taking parts off a
printed circuit board
You cannot use a hammer. If you can I recommend a 25 oz hammer
You wonder what you screwed up and dread the INFO 80 message when you power up.
It has been such a long time since you worked on the rig, you have to read
the manual from the start...and all the errata sheets...for all modules.
Of course you have to download all the errata sheets again because you
cannot find them all.
You read everything there was about the mod and how to do it on the Reflector.
Solder burns should be expected.
Spring loaded solder pumps work...sometimes...maybe...in a fashion....yea
right...
You are not sure you know what you are doing with a spring loaded solder pump
Destroying old parts is the norm.
Saying "...Oh Sh_t" doesn't help either.
You will pinch your finger in the needle nose pliers at leasts three times
or more.
Mowing the lawn in 100 degree heat looks like a good pass time.
Taking a long cold shower and drinking a cold beer relieves your jangled nerves
The wife is worried about your eye twitch and that strange tick in your
left cheek
It takes you 8 hours to get a mod done most K2 experts can do in 15 minutes.

Just a few thoughts
