10.7V * 1.7A = 18.2 Watts  -> K2 display is showing the current drawn by the
base K2 but does NOT include the current drawn by the KPA100. The lower
current is due to the gain of the KPA100 PA, so the 15 Watt PA of the K2
isn't working very hard...

You need an external ammeter :-)
