I had a similar experience to Lloyd's last with my K2 on 30M. The French
Polynesian DXpedition was on 10.104 using FO/G35WH I worked him despite
K9PPY/VY0 being on almost the exact same frequency. Most folks were
putting him on the DX clusters as FO/G3SWH. The funny part is, the call
was supposed to have been FO/G3SWH but the licensing authority made a
typo on the certificate and the permit was issued as FO/G35WH. I
listened through 5 or 6 more QSOs with heavy close in QRM to be sure I
was hearing correctly then was vindicated when I checked the DXpedition
web site this morning at:
http://www.qsl.net/g4mfw
They explain the whole license mix up there was well as give the schedule
for the four IOTA islands they are planning on being QRV from.
They are using FO/G35WH on CW and FO/G4MFW on SSB
