Isn't there supposed to be little black pads in the upper corner of the
front panel for this? Seems that I installed those...

Well, after pressing the buttons several more times you have initiated
my
OCD and now I must fix that "Problem."
Found some "3M" double sticky foam tape (about 3/32 thick), that you use
for
holding things on to something, and cut off four very small squares (1/4
x
1/4) and put them at the upper corners and lower corners of the front
panel.
Did not remove the tape from the side that goes against the D Blocks.
These
compress slightly when assembled, and now there is no movement at all.

I have not finished the radio (I'm current aligning the xmiter), but
have
noticed that the front panel sort of floats there. When I push on the
band
button, I can see the LCD move inward a bit. It seems that all that
holds
the front panel in place is the pot nut, but the pot is floating - only
held
in place by the stiffness of the hookup wire. Did I miss something in
construction? Should I wedge a little something between the front board
and
the front D blocks on each side (that the board just about touches)?
TIA
Scott
