Hear Ye, Hear Ye,
Saturday at 6 PM PDT (Sunday at 0100 z) I will run the Elecraft CW net on 20 meters 14050 kHz or if that's busy I'll move up by 2 kHz increments until I find a spot
for us to use. If you would like to check in without comments just add QRU to your check in and I'll skip you during the comment section.
Then at 7 PM PDT (Sunday at 0200 z) I will start at 7050 kHz and move up 2 kHz until I find an open spot, avoiding the SSB net on 7055 kHz.
When I've checked in a few stations and received a few comments the winner of the "Who is medium strong to my location" contest gets to make a short call for check
ins. Just relay them back to me and we'll see how many folks we can gather for this shindig.
- - - Any input on which frequency might be better or which may be occupied is most assuredly welcome. - - -
40 meters has been noisy lately so you may have to send your call more than once for these apprentice ears to copy properly.
I'll post the results here after each net. And hopefully not have to correct more than a few :)
One of these days I will achieve 20 wpm but for now please remember I am good up to about 12 wpm. My CW elmer is putting in the effort but my 50 year old mind is
giving him fits. Old dogs ... new tricks? Maybe he'll be able to pound it into my head once I can dedicate more time to CW. Right now there are a few too many irons
in the fire to give it top billing.
It'll be fun, come on one and all and join in.
73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net control operator 5th class).
