[Elecraft] I'm Stuck...

Hi, Folks,

I'm stuck on page 72, Gang.  I'm trying to tweak the 40 Meter filter and =
verify that the power amp is doing its thing.  Everything is right on =
the money up to the point where you are supposed to set the power level =
to 10 watts.  I had made my 2 watts, my five watts, but can only coax a =
pitiful 7 watts out of it no matter where the power is set above =
(roughly) 7 watts.

The interesting thing is, if I go to 10 meters, I get a full, solid 15 =
watts out with a little to spare..  I have tried messing with the XFIL =
settings.  Since everything is OK up through 5 watts plus a little, it's =
tough to figure where the level loss is coming from.  The 10 meter =
results imply that it is the insertion loss of the 40 MHz bandpass.  I =
can't find any wrong components, yet.

Has anyone run into this behavior before?  If so, how did they fix it =
up?
