[Elecraft] OT: Wanted - 386 20Mhz computer...

That's right.  It's not a typo.  I'm looking for an old 386 or 486
20-25Mhz computer.  I would prefer if it was ATAPI capable with an IDE HD
drive and IDE CDROM but, as long as its got a 3.5" 1.44M floppy, VGA
adapter and a serial port, it should work.

Now, you're probably asking: "Why on earth would someone want an old
dinosaur like that?"  Well, I need to program some Motorola radios and the
Motorola RSS doesn't like to run on "fast" computers.  (My SLOOOOOWEST
computer is too fast!)

Because this will be a programming platform and failure during the
codeplug writing process can turn a $2000 radio into a brick, please only
reply if you would risk programming YOUR $2000 radios with the thing.

I would prefer an old laptop simply because it is smaller but, a desktop
will do as well.

Oh... Sorry for the OT post but, I figure what better group to find old,
yet well maintained computer equipment from...
