As a retired Navy Electronics Technician (Chief), and responsible for the proper operation, alignment, and calibration of military FSK equipment I will attest that it is not a simple matter to convert a rig to transmit FSK CLEANLY. The tone must switch at the zero crossing point or it will introduce more harmonics than you can measure. Using a sound card is a little forgiving in that those outside the SC and rigs audio pass band won't be transmitted. BUT, if you convert a rig to transmit these two signals, then the only filter left is the RF filter, which on the K2 is as wide as the band plus some.
