Wouldn't be hard to record the sound of the relays searching for a match.

The problem is that you'd have to be able to also come up with another set 
of sounds against which you could COMPARE the sound of the relays. 
Otherwise, there no reference to determine HOW 'noisy' they might be 
considered.

You'd be better off asking if there's someone living nearby you, whom you 
could visit to actually listen to the KAT100 tuning.

Personally, I don't find the sound distracting, but I'm sure there are 
others who have more 'delicate' ears (and sensibilities) than I... <G>
