[Elecraft] RTTY Operations

If you want to set up for RTTY with 2295and 2125 Hz tones, use Spectrogram
and set one marker for 2295 and another for 2125 Hz; then adjust the filter
width and the BFO frequency so that both markers were contained within the
resulting audio passband. Note that you may not be able to adjust both BFOs
(normal and reverse) for this condition - there may not be enough range -
but you can get one sideband to behave correctly (or at least that has been
my experience). Theory says that you could use a passband of 170 Hz, but
you will likely be more successful with a passband of about 600 Hz.
P.S. - I set my RTTY on FL4 (normal) and my other data filters are optimized
around 1000 Hz for PSK31 operation.

> Hey folks, anyone have any ideas as to how to properly set up filters for
RTTY? Filter settings for KSB2 data are for 1000 Hz tone --- RTTY uses
2295-2125 Hz tones .... would not appear to fit if FL3 and/or FL4 are
tightened to 750 to 500 Hz . Thanks .... Mike KG4MTN
