For what its worth, I use my K2 exclusively for CW and have the 
filters set to their default bandwidths. I find I use it all the time 
on the 400Hz filter, and occasionally 100Hz which is a little too 
narrow. I never ever use the wider bandwidths and am puzzled why any 
CW op would need to. For those stations who seem to be unable to net 
(and a wide filter is conducive to poor netting) I tune them in with 
the RIT. I have never had a rig with passband tuning or notch but do 
not think I would find a need for them with the excellent Elecraft 
filter.
