aluminum and titanium are too light.
I made a beauty out of brass. I've been kicking around the idea of solid
silver, maybe about four ounces.
Platinum?

My preference is for a Titanium knob with an Inconel insert on the face
with the Elecraft logo and my callsign engraved on it. Preferably, use
recycled Inconel, say, from the afterburner can of a GE J-79 turbojet.
The high temperatures and JP4 soot give the Inconel a nice patina.
