Hi
The best way to reduce the voltage by .5 to .7 volts is with a forward
biased diode. It will drop about the same voltage with varying current. A
resistor would drop more voltage on transmit than receive. You will need a
diode large enough to carry the full current of the K2 in transmit abort a 3
to 5 amp diode would be required. A better way would be to adjust the power
supply to the proper voltage if that is not an option the diode will work.
