[Elecraft] K2 Show and Tell

Last Saturday, I took the K2 to the local amateur radio club meeting.  The guys are mostly people who are involved in ARES and RACES and usually have a HT close to them.  There are some who dabble in HF but not many.

The K2 wowed them.  I think that one older gent is going to order one and I might get to put it together.

I was able to take the lid off the K2/100 and show them the insides and do a little teaching as to what was happening in the rig.  I held their attention for 45 minutes as I droned on about the rig.  They asked numerous questions and were in awe of the complexity of the rig and how I, a mere mortal, had actually put it together.  

I hope I encourage some of the younger guys to get into kit building and get on HF.  But, the K2 was a great hit...and the star of the show....
