[Elecraft] Troubleshooting K1 30/20 meter power output

I was calibrating the power output on my K2 and I noticed a problem with
the power output. I'm able to calibrate the output and 2.0 watts but if
I turn the power up, I get a high current warning and the power reduces
to around 5.0 watts total with the power at the highest setting. I
figure I will probably need to take a look at the bandpass and lowpass
section of the RF board, but any hints would be appreciated. 
 
Also, I noticed that peak output on 12m was around 12 watts and 9.2
watts on 10m.  Is this normal? Is there something I need to examine
here?
