My resistor stock is sorted by standard value - so in one drawer I keep the
0.27, 2.7, 27 ... 27Meg resistors, in another I keep the 3x values, etc.
All my resistor stock fits in a 24 drawer cabinet (5% values) and each
drawer is labeled with the first 2 significant digits of the values in that
drawer. It is easy to open the correct drawer and look at the third band
(multiplier) for any resistor that I need.
