I'm also building a K2 SN# 3186.  I just finished the testing found on =
page 46 in the K2 manual. I also ran into the exact same problem!  I =
could only get the AGC threshold to 3.8V before running out of =
adjustment on R1.  Keep me posted as to what you find out. I would =
certainly like to know.  Everything else checked just fine.  Im ready =
for Assembly, Part II page 47
