I get the digest too, and I am replying to your mail.  It may be e-mail 
program dependent; I am using Eudora Pro, but you can try it with whatever 
mail program you are using.  First highlight the message you want to reply 
to, then hit the reply button on the control panel.  It gives the normal 
indication for "reply to", and includes only the highlighted portion of the 
digest.  You can control what you high light, or delete what you don't want 
in the highlighted portion after pasting it.  You also have to change the 
subject.  I do this by highlighting the subject of the message I want to 
reply to then copying and pasting it to the subject line of my reply.
