[Elecraft] Stealthy Antenna

Mike,
I have been using an antenna set-up very similar to what you are describing
for 5 years. The coax is 6 feet long at most. The balun is mounted just
outside the window of my shack. It is out in the open. If you enclose it
in plastic watch out for moisture condensing inside the box. From the balun
to the antenna is approximately 30 feet of ladder line. My antenna is a 30
meter dipole but I don't see why any doublet or a loop wouldn't work fine,
whatever you have room for. I've used this system with my old rig until a
few weeks ago when Santa brought me this K2. I don't have the KAT-2 (yet!).
My tuner is a manual T network type. Hope this helps some, good luck with
your project.
Sam, KL7V/5
K2 #3158
