[Elecraft] #3123 hears 40M for first time

Hello,
=09While waiting on a J310 from Elecraft, I saw in my local Radio Shack a=
n N=20
channel FET. Decided to plug it in and see if there was any smoke .  Well=
, no=20
smoke and the BFO started doing its thing.
=09I'm just going to sit and listen for a couple days until the real J310=
 gets=20
here, but it is very nice to hear 3123 in the shack.
=09Plus, the radio in its partial-complete status seems to impress my 17 =
yr old=20
daughter.  There may be a ham among my inheritors after all. Hee Hee.
