The 30L1 (and the Heathkit sb-200) use the relay line to set the operating
bias on the tubes. If you have much voltage drop on the PTT line it can
change the bias on the tubes when keyed.
The voltage on the PTT line of the 30L1 and the SB-200 is NEGATIVE. You will
need to make sure the circuit you are using will switch negative voltage to
ground.
