This is the only gripe I have had with my K2. The knob developed
shiny metal holes in the matter of a few weeks. I have 'repainted'
the knob with black car touch up paint and although it looks far from

pretty ('crackle finish') it has done the job and has not worn off
again.

Some owners never seem to have this problem, perhaps there were
batches of knobs from various sources.

By the way country no 166 was 8N1OGA in Ogasawara on 18MHz, got
second call! And I received an eqsl card from him virtually by
return!!

ps. I note that you can no longer reply to a message in the digest
form of the list by hitting 'reply' like you used to be able to. This
now sends the mail to the administrative address of the list and
sends back a load of errors. Second time this has happened to me this
year!
