I installed new crystals in my K2 #740 and also added firmware 2.03.
Two appreciated features in the new firmware are amplifier delay, which
makes K2 suitable for DX'ing on 80 and 160m (with QRO amplifier),
and automatic reduction of power to 2W when tuning KAT2. A pecularity
was extra .5s delay when changing bands.

New crystals in KSB2 eliminated a sharp peak at one end of the passband.
Also, the SSB filter seems to have a bit better skirts although strong
59+40 carrier can still be heard +- 10 KHz away. A larger difference is
on CW, where such a carrier completely disappears within 4 Khz rather
be heard for > 10 KHz before; CW crytals were doubly grounded as
recommended.

Is less off-passband attenuation on SSB better because wider filters
have less attenuation,
or would KSB filters also benefit from better grounding?

When listening to same signals on TS-850, I found that TX frequency of
K2 in narrow setting differs from RX frequency by about 150 Hz. (Yes,
RIT and XIT were turned off!). Is there any remedy for it?
